Harry Herring died from enteric fever on 9th August, 1915, while serving with the 1/1st City of London Yeomanry (Rough Riders) in Egypt. The Rough Riders were part of the 4th (London) Brigade of the 2nd Mounted Division which later in August landed at Suvla Bay in Gallipoli. |
